The scope of registration for our Quality Management System are the provision of Medical, Allied Sciences and Business Educational and Training Programmes at Asia Metropolitan University (AMU).

  • AMU is committed to innovation, training and education in the field of medicine, nursing, allied sciences and business. It strives to conform to the principles of continuous quality improvement and the requirements of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System. AMU recognises that the vision and mission of the University can be achieved if all of its activities are planned and controlled within the framework of a comprehensive Quality Management System.
  • AMU is committed to delivering recognised educational and training programmes that meet customer expectations by continually improving the systems and adopting high standards of quality.
  • The quality policy identified above is further supported by defined and measurable quality objectives. These quality objectives are translated into performance indicators and define the standards that we aim to achieve. All indicators are continuously monitored by relevant parties and the Quality Committee. These quality indicators are reviewed for achievement at AMU Management Committee Meetings and Management Review Meetings. The specific quality indicators are documented and available with the Faculty Deans, Heads of Centres and Heads of Departments and relevant senior personnel.

  • In 1912, on the initiative of the University of London, representatives of 53 universities convened in London, UK, to hold a Congress of Universities of the Empire. There they decided that a bureau of information for the universities of the Empire should be established, and that its affairs should be managed by a committee representing both UK and overseas universities. The office of the Universities Bureau of the British Empire was opened in 1913 and, since 1963, the organisation has been known as the Association of Commonwealth Universities.
